Redesigns for Customer Case Studies

• Goal: Redesign and modernize the layout of customer case studies to improve readability, engagement, and align with the company’s evolving brand identity.
• Approach: I collaborated with cross-functional teams in both the US and UK to ensure consistency in design. I focused on creating visually appealing layouts that highlighted key information and case study success stories while implementing the new brand elements.
• Outcome: The redesigned case studies contributed to improved user engagement, providing a cleaner, more professional look that helped Service Express’s clients better showcase their success with the company and provided our sales representatives with more content.

Social Media Content & Digital Campaigns

• Goal: Produce social media graphics and ads for various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to increase visibility and engagement.
• Approach: I created platform-specific designs that were both engaging and informative. From static posts to animated ads, I tailored each piece to suit the tone the content, while ensuring they adhered to Service Express’s brand guidelines. During my internship I made static & animated social media templates on Adoe Illustrator and Canva for consistency and to help non-designers create content. I spent time making them as user-friendly as possible, since I knew this would be some individuals first time interacting with design software.
• Outcome: The templates were a hit! Many non-designers were able to use the templates and are still using them to post content. The main issue we saw with non-designer employees posting content was that it wasn't adhering to the company's creative guidelines. Now posts are more uniform and consistent across employees accounts and Service Express’s pages.

LinkedIn Animated New Hire Graphics

• Goal: Design animated graphics new hires to create job acceptance posts on LinkedIn.
• Approach: I created a series of eye-catching animations that featured Service Express's brand elements and celebrated their new positions in a professional and fun way. Service Express did not have custom images or gifs prior to this project for new hires to use. I was assigned this project as I had experience with motion design and our social media coordinator wanted them to be animated to keep up with industry trends, as other companies had started posting animated content on LinkedIn.
• Outcome: The graphics captured attention and new hires were able to pick which one they wanted to use, allowing for more individuality and customization. This was a fun project for me, I always enjoy the problem-solving and planning involved in creating an animated design. I had taken multiple After Effects LinkedIn Learning courses while at Service Express and this was a great way to show off what I learned.

UK Customer Appreciation Event

Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Service Express UK team on various projects, including social media assets and marketing materials. This experience allowed me to understand and adapt to the needs of a global brand, ensuring that designs were both regionally relevant and aligned with Service Express's overarching brand strategy.

• Goal: Design digital and physical marketing materials for a UK customer event at Holland & Holland gun room.
• Approach: This was one of our largest UK events of the year and I was tasked with creating the branding/design system for the event. I started by analyzing Holland & Holland and what elements made their brand unique. I chose to encorporate their sophisticated dark green color, the elgant floral engravings on their guns and images of the scenic countryside into my designs. I branded my materials to be in line with Holland & Holland so they were cohesive with the desgn of the actual in-person event. Pictured are the save the date and the table setting welcome card. I also designed name tags, landing page banner and custom icons
• Outcome: The event was a success and customers noted that the marketing materials elevated the event and made it feel more special. This was an good challenge for me, I was put in charge of creating the branding for this event, while still making it feel like Service Express. I had a blast looking through Holland & Hollands content and getting to design with their brand elements.

Conclusion & Reflections

My time at Service Express was a transformative experience. I gained hands-on exposure to high-level design work across both digital and print mediums, collaborated with teams globally, and learned what it takes to spearhead campaigns. This internship allowed me to contribute meaningful design solutions while learning how to balance creativity with business objectives. Service Express's marketing team focused on doing thing's the right way, even if it took longer (measure twice, cut once mentality). The individuals that I worked with are detail-orientated and dedicated to their craft. Their customer is their top priority and it shows in how they design, and it's what pushed me to pursue a degree in User Experience. It’s an experience that has shaped the way I approach design, and I’m excited to carry these skills and insights forward into my career.
